A delegation of representatives from the Eastern Zangezur and Karabakh regions of Azerbaijan organised a working visit to Türkiye hosted by the Union of Municipalities of Türkiye (UMT).
Delivering the opening speech of the meeting, Secretary General of UMT Dr Hayri Baraçlı stated that the brotherhood relationship developed with Azerbaijan with the perspective of "two states, one nation" can be an example for the whole world and underlined that the two countries need each other in the region.
Speaking on behalf of the Azerbaijani delegation, Növrəs Cəfərov said that they know that the Republic of Türkiye and its people are always on the side of Azerbaijan. Cəfərov pointed out that the support of Türkiye is also important in the process of reconstruction of Karabakh and Zangezur regions and thanked Dr Baraçlı for the support provided by UMT.
