The duties of the Project and Finance Directorate are as follows:

  • To contribute to the development of project preparation, execution and monitoring capacities of municipalities and to organize training and similar activities.
  • To inform municipalities about European Union financial resources and programs, to assist in the application processes, and to ensure that they benefit from the resources effectively.
  • To ensure effective coordination with municipalities and relevant institutions and organizations so that municipalities can benefit from domestic and international grants, funds and loans.
  • To cooperate and carry out joint projects with domestic and foreign institutions and organizations on project and financing issues.
  • To investigate the opportunities and terms of use of domestic and international loans, grants and funding resources and to inform municipalities on these issues.
  • To prepare and carry out projects for domestic and international financial resources in order to improve the capacity of the Union and municipalities.
  • To perform similar duties assigned by the president of the union and the general secretary.
  • The Project and Finance Directorate carries out its work in coordination with the Foreign Relations Directorate and with the support of other units according to its interest.
  • The term municipality in this article; It covers the municipality, its affiliates and unions, and the companies of these administrations.
