The delegation of the Union of Municipalities of Austria and the Union of Municipalities of Türkiye came together in Istanbul on June 10 to share experiences and develop joint cooperation projects on issues such as smart cities, gastronomy, green cities, waste management, science centers, migration, education, environment, climate, energy within the scope of local development.
The President of the Union of Austrian Municipalities, Dr. Michael Ludwig, Vienna Parliament Member Aslıhan Bozatemur, Austrian Union of Municipalities International Contacts Diplomacy Officer Alexander Lesigang and President of the Union of Municipalities of Türkiye and Mayor of Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality Fatma Şahin, UMT Secretary General Dr. Hayri Baraçlı, Deputy Secretary General Kayhan Özüm, Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality Head of Foreign Relations Department Ahmet Ertürk and UMT Foreign Relations Manager Nilüfer Sivrikaya attended the meeting.
