The fifth of the informative meetings of the Town Twinning Action Between Türkiye and the EU-II: Twinning for a Green Future Grant Scheme, financed by the European Union and of which the Union of Municipalities of Türkiye (UMT) is the main beneficiary, was held in Malatya.
The opening speeches of the meeting were made by UMT Deputy Secretary General Halil İbrahim Azak. In his speech, Azak gave general information about the grant scheme and emphasized the importance of the participation of our municipalities.
After the opening speeches, Tuğçe Özkan, Project and Finance Unit Expert introduced the grant programme to the participants. After the grant programme presentation, Central Finance and Contracts Unit (CFCU) representatives explained the application and evaluation process.
Then, a question-and-answer session was held by the representatives of the Central Finance and Contracts Unit, UMT and the Directorate for EU Affairs.
Finally, the Directorate for EU Affairs Specialist Yıldırım Gündüç completed the event with a project development workshop.
The next introductory meeting of the Town Twinning-II: Twinning for a Green Future Grant Scheme will be held in Antalya.
