FERDİ ZEYREK LAID TO REST
KARALAR: “OUR COUNTRY AND MANİSA HAVE LOST A VALUABLE SON”
Manisa Metropolitan Mayor Ferdi Zeyrek, who was electrocuted at his home and lost his three-day battle for life at the hospital where he was taken, was laid to rest.
Ferdi Zeyrek, the Mayor of Manisa Metropolitan Municipality who lost his life in an accident, was laid to rest in a ceremony held in Manisa.
The ceremony, attended by representatives of political parties, mayors, and tens of thousands of citizens, also included Zeydan Karalar, Deputy Chairman of Union of Municipalities of Turkiye (UMT) and Mayor of Adana Metropolitan Municipality.
In his condolence message following Zeyrek's death, Karalar said, “My brother, my dear friend, a wonderful person; I am deeply saddened by the loss of Ferdi Zeyrek, Mayor of Manisa Metropolitan Municipality.” Karalar continued:
“Our Mayor Ferdi, who fought for his life for three days after the tragic accident, has earned a very special place in all our hearts. Our country has lost a valuable person who, at a very young age, illuminated the future with his well-equipped ideas. My brother Ferdi left behind a very honorable life.
I extend my condolences and wishes for patience to his beloved wife, children, and entire family, to his loved ones, to the people of Manisa, and to the CHP family, which has lost a very successful son at such a young age, as well as to the entire political community. May his soul rest in peace…”
