The project was designed to provide technical support to the staff of UMT, Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change (MoEUC) and municipalities in the areas of Urban Planning and Recovery, Reconstruction Planning, Seismic Retrofitting and Debris Waste Management following the Kahramanmaraş earthquakes. Within the framework of these components, training will be provided in Japan to UMT, municipality and MoEUC staff in the relevant fields and guidelines will be developed. Japanese experts will be assigned in our country for these activities. It is expected that cooperation and coordination will be ensured between JICA(Japan International Development Agency), UMT and MoEUC in order to carry out the recovery process of disaster-affected cities quickly and effectively.
