Ulaş ALTUN was born in Ankara in 1978.
He graduated from Hacettepe University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Public Administration (2000), and Ankara University, Institute of Turkish Revolution History, with a thesis-based Master's degree (2008).
He served as Planning Specialist at the Ministry of Interior, Financial Services Specialist at the Privatization Administration Presidency, Internal Auditor at Hatay Metropolitan Municipality, and successively as Head of Data Processing Department and Head of Records and Decisions Department at Ankara Metropolitan Municipality.
He has conducted studies in strategic and financial management, tendering, personnel, central/local government legislation, organization, public enterprises, information technology, auditing and he has been involved in training and consultancy activities.
As of July 2024, he has been appointed Deputy Secretary General at the Union of Municipalities of Türkiye.
