The Regulation on Crèches and Daycare Centres to Be Opened by Public Institutions and Organisations Pursuant to Law No. 2828 on Social Services, prepared by the Ministry of Family and Social Services, was published in the Official Gazette dated 27 June 2026 and numbered 33293 and entered into force.
The Regulation sets out the procedures and principles regarding the establishment procedures, permits, service and operational principles, personnel standards, inspections, closures and fees of crèches and daycare centres to be opened by municipalities under the scope of Law No. 2828 on Social Services.
Under Provisional Article 1 of the Regulation, institutions that did not have an establishment approval in compliance with the Regulation as of the date of its publication are required to apply for establishment approval within six months from the date of publication. Existing institutions are also required to comply with the provisions of the Regulation within six months.
