Resilience in Local Governance Project (RESLOG) was launched in 2018 in partnership with Union of Municipalities of Türkiye, Union of Çukurova Municipalities, Union of Marmara Municipalities and SKL International, the international project organization of the Swedish Union of Local Authorities and Regions (SKL).
The project aims to build the capacity of local governments in Türkiye and Lebanon, two countries severely affected by the Syrian crisis, to strengthen their resilience to migration in line with the principles of pacifism and inclusiveness. To this end, it aims to develop national migration policies to reflect local realities and needs, strengthen inter-municipal learning and support structures through regional associations, and improve holistic planning and governance at the municipal level.
