The duties and authorities of the Union of Municipalities of Türkiye include:
- carrying out or supporting projects within the scope of social responsibility and development of municipal services on issues that fall within the scope of responsibility of municipalities,
- engaging in all kinds of activities and initiatives for the purpose of developing municipality,
- encouraging the dissemination of good practice examples through the sharing of knowledge and experience.
In line with these duties, our Union organizes project implementation competitions on different subjects in order to raise awareness at the municipal level on the issues highlighted by international organizations and the central government.
