With the 'Child Friendly Cities Idea and Project Competition' organized for municipalities by the Union of Municipalities of Türkiye, which covers the topics of child-friendly city approach, child-oriented city services, children's rights, child health and children's participation in urban decision-making processes, municipal services in Türkiye are made child-oriented. It is aimed to bring education and contribute to the municipalities' vision for children.
The competition was announced on April 23, 2021, National Sovereignty and Children's Day, and applications for the first stage of the competition, which consists of two stages, continued to be received until September 30, 2021.
